DOLPP1 (dolichyldiphosphatase 1) is an endoplasmic reticulum membrane enzyme required for efficient N-glycosylation through its role in maintaining optimal dolichol-linked oligosaccharide levels. It catalyzes hydrolysis of dolichyl pyrophosphate at high efficiency and dolichyl monophosphate at lower rates, functioning in the dolichyl monophosphate biosynthetic pathway. Based on limited published evidence, DOLPP1 has been implicated in endometrial cancer, where it was identified as a critical component in a competing endogenous RNA network regulated by LINC00958 through miR-761 1.
