Based on limited published evidence, H3C10 is a histone H3 variant protein. Database annotations indicate its primary role in chr6 structure organization and gene expression regulation as a component of nucleosomes. A recent RNA-Seq analysis of breast cancer identified H3C10 as a transcript highlighted for its importance in modulating chr6 structure and gene expression, suggesting potential involvement in cancer progression and metastasis 1. However, direct functional studies of H3C10 are lacking, and its specific molecular mechanisms remain to be characterized.
