Based on limited published evidence, HSBP1L1 is a heat shock factor binding protein with predicted protein binding activity localized to the cytosol and nucleus, consistent with roles in cellular heat acclimation. A prognostic study in pancreatic carcinoma identified HSBP1L1 as part of a four-gene signature associated with patient survival, with elevated expression correlating with worse outcomes (HR=1.51) 1.
