Based on limited published evidence, TPTEP2-CSNK1E is a readthrough transcript on chromosome 22. Recent exome sequencing in 350,770 individuals identified this gene through rare coding variant analysis as associated with socioeconomic status markers including household income, occupational status, educational attainment, and social deprivation 1. The study also observed pleiotropic effects of TPTEP2-CSNK1E variants on cognitive function, psychosocial status, and diabetes risk. No functional characterization of this gene's molecular role has been reported.
