As part of the dynein-2 complex, DYNLRB2 is involved in retrograde intraflagellar transport and is common to both dynein-1 and dynein-2 complexes 1. The protein plays a crucial role in murine leukemia virus (MLV) infection by facilitating retrograde transport of viral preintegration complexes along microtubules to the nucleus.
