Based on limited published evidence, PROSER3 is a proline and serine-rich protein localized to the centrosome with protein-binding capabilities. Its cellular function remains largely uncharacterized. PROSER3 was identified as one of five independent predictive genes associated with papillary thyroid carcinoma recurrence-free survival in a large RNA-sequencing study 1, suggesting potential involvement in cancer progression, though the molecular mechanism underlying this association is unknown.
