Based on limited published evidence, PPDPFL (pancreatic progenitor cell differentiation and proliferation factor like) is a gene with unclear characterized function. It is located on chromosome 8 and shares homology with pancreatic progenitor cell differentiation factors. The gene showed extremely high expression in human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) differentiated into adrenocortical-like cells under specific conditions including growth factors, forskolin, and conditioned medium 1.
