Based on limited published evidence, C1GALT1C1L is a glycosylation-related gene implicated in glioma biology. It encodes a C1GALT1-specific chaperone-like protein involved in protein glycosylation processes. Functional studies demonstrate that silencing C1GALT1C1L inhibits glioma cell growth and viability in U87 and U251 cell lines 1. The gene was identified as one of seven glycosylation-related prognostic markers associated with glioma patient outcomes, correlating with immune cell infiltration patterns and glycan synthesis pathways 1. However, specific molecular mechanisms and expression patterns in other tissues remain unclear.
