Based on limited published evidence, C1GALT1C1L is a glycosylation-related gene implicated in glioma biology. It encodes a C1GALT1-specific chaperone-like protein involved in protein glycosylation processes. Functional studies demonstrate that silencing C1GALT1C1L inhibits glioma cell growth and viability in U87 and U251 cell lines 1.
