Based on limited published evidence, PCDHB10 is a calcium-dependent cell-adhesion protein potentially involved in establishing and maintaining specific neuronal connections. UniProt annotations indicate roles in cell adhesion molecule binding, synapse assembly, and chemical synaptic transmission. A genetic variant in PCDHB10 was associated with neurocognitive deficits in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia survivors 1. The gene was also identified as producing neoantigens in breast cancer patients 2. However, functional studies directly characterizing PCDHB10's molecular mechanisms remain limited.
