Based on limited published evidence, TPBGL is a plasma membrane-associated protein with predicted roles in negative regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway. TPBGL expression is upregulated in triple-negative breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231) under hypoxic conditions, suggesting involvement in hypoxia-responsive gene networks 1. The gene's specific molecular functions and biological significance in normal physiology remain largely unexplored.
