Based on limited published evidence, ZNF585B is a zinc finger protein predicted to function as a transcriptional regulator. It localizes to the nucleus and likely binds transcription cis-regulatory regions to regulate RNA polymerase II-dependent transcription. A genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 screen identified ZNF585B as a candidate modulating cabazitaxel resistance in castration-resistant prostate cancer 1. Additionally, rare variant analysis associated ZNF585B variants with Alzheimer's disease susceptibility 2. However, functional validation of these associations remains limited.
